Guangdong School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, now Guangdong Food and Drug Vocational College (GDFDVC), established in 1965, is authorized by Guangdong People’s Government, and is a general national & public-run full time college and qualified to recruit students face to whole China.
GDFDVC has two campuses which covers an area of 111 acre. The university consists of 10 schools and departments, 17 majors and almost 8000 students. We have 2 affiliated institutes under our college, including Guangdong Food and Drug Vocational-technical School and Institute of Chinese Medicine Research. GDFDVC has become an authoritative vocational education center in fields of Medicine, Chinese Medicine, Food, Cosmetic, Medical Instrument, Marketing, Management and Biotechnology.
The college has perfectly teaching facilities and advanced teaching instrument, which totally cost about 50 million RMB. There are more than 512,000 books collected in our library. We also have 26 advanced training centers, 86 training rooms, the multimedia teaching network, campus Wild Band, and computer center where 700 students could surf the internet at the same time.
The college has a high-standard and qualified staff. At present, among all teachers, there are 67 professors and associate-professors, 3 teachers take the special allowance issued by State Department. There are 2 foreign teachers in the International School.
Joint-academic program:
Sino-Australia program. We have had the cooperation with Australia Box Hill TAFE Institute since 2006. This project offers training courses in Biotechnology diploma and Marketing diploma. There are altogether 356 students in this program.
